When radiotelescopes were first turned on (in the 60's), astronomers were struck by a set of singular bright point like objects, which they assumed to be hitherto undetected stars in the Milky-Way. Red shift measurements however, revealed that they were among the most distant sources of radiation ever observed by man. To be at the same time, so distant and so bright, these Quasi-Stellar objects or Quasars had to be outputting incredible amounts of energy - about a thousand times more than not just our Sun but rather our entire galaxy!
Quazar (pronounced kway-zar) Technologies Pvt. Ltd., derives its name from these distant astronomical objects at the very edge of the visible universe.
QUAZAR : A BRIEF HISTORY
Quazar Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (Quazar Tech), New Delhi, is a five and a half-year-old innovative R&D firm in the area of hi-tech instrumentation. It is currently working in several areas of electronics, microcontrollers and electrical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, and (since the completion of the gas chromatograph) of chemical engineering. Quazar supports its R & D effort exclusively through the products it develops (It doesn't apply for any grants or subsidies for its research. This is a conscious decision in favour of self-reliance)
QT is a heady blend of academic excellence, intellectual freedom, industrial discipline, business efficiency and social consciousness. QT has an open, friendly atmosphere and an enabling technological environment (Somehow technology seems to come easier at Quazar). The staff is characterized by its team spirit, technical competence and openness to both acquiring and sharing knowledge.

Quazar Tech is led by Dr. Deshdeep Sahdev, who has more than 25 years of research experience in the leading institutes of Europe and America , like Cornell University ( New York ), Case Institute of Technology ( Ohio ), Trieste ( Italy ) and in India in Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) and Indian Institute of Technology – Kanpur (IIT-K). Quazar Tech routinely attracts engineers from the best universities of India , including the IITs and various RECs, etc
In addition to the above, QT has, at all times, several of the top (i.e. the most competent, motivated, visionary and inevitably the most unconventional) students of the country's leading technical schools, such as the IIT's and REC's on its premises doing their Training with us, all drawn by the magic of QT. It is no wonder, therefore, that QT has developed 4 international quality products (or rather product lines) in the very first year of its existence, and developed a most unusual vision for its future.
Quazar has evolved out of attempts to make higher technical education in India creative, relevant and hands-on.
In its very first year of existence, the quazar team has brought out 4 products into the market and laid much of the groundwork for launching another 3. This year has largely been devoted to establishing excellence in engineering and to the creation of genuine technological culture, conducive to tinkering and innovation.
